In a private ceremony in Versilia, Prince Emanuele Filiberto awarded the renowned tenor one of the highest dynastic honors for his artistic achievements and civic commitment.

Versilia, April 21, 2025 – Maestro Andrea Bocelli has been named a Knight of the Civil Order of Savoy, one of the highest honors awarded by the Dynastic Orders of the House of Savoy. The decoration was personally bestowed by H.R.H. the Grand Master Prince Emanuele Filiberto during a private ceremony held in Versilia.

“A recognition,” declared the Prince, “that has historically been awarded to distinguished figures such as Cavour, Marconi, and Puccini. Andrea Bocelli, a world-renowned artist, has dedicated his career to promoting Italian culture and beauty across the globe. Through his foundation, he has also demonstrated a strong and lasting commitment to philanthropy and social causes.”

Deeply honored, Maestro Bocelli commented: “As someone passionate about national history, I am especially moved by this honor, which carries centuries of symbolic value. I accept it with gratitude and pride, and will strive to continue to deserve it.”

Following the presentation of the neck decoration and the official diploma, Prince Emanuele Filiberto joined the Bocelli family for a private gathering at Bagno Alpemare in Forte dei Marmi.
